Award Winning Chocolates
These are the seven chocolates that won awards from 2012-2013
In 2012 I submitted 4 of my Signature Range chocolates to the Great Taste national awards 2012 (UK), the “Oscars of the food world.” Two of these chocolates acheived an awards and the other two were highly praised in the judges comments.
In 2013 I submitted 3 of my “Chocoddity 2012″ creations to the Great Taste national awards 2013 (UK) again, and 2 of these were granted awards. I also submitted 3 of my Signature Range chocolates to the regional Taste of the West Awards 2013 (covering Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Gloucester & Wiltshire) and all 3 of these chocolates won awards, with one being the highest in its class (Chocolate).
The following chocolates were the award winners:
Great Taste Award GOLD star 2012: Sea salted Caramel, 10-year old Single Malt Whisky Truffle
Great Taste Award GOLD star 2013: Spiced Orange & Olive Oil, Pink Peppercorn Praline

“I am very proud that over 70% of the chocolates I have submitted for awards considerations were deemed to be worthy of such prestigious awards. I believe the variety in chocolates from somewhat simple flavours such as the Tahitian Vanilla (awarded the highest award in its class for 2013) to more complex flavours like the Spiced Orange & Olive Oil show that by if you focus on using very high quality ingredients along with taking care and attention to balancing these flavours, you can make truly great tasting chocolates. If there are any budding chocolatiers out there looking to develop their own chocolates I would be happy to give advice where I can. Check back regularly for updates with new recipes, ideas, and tips & tricks!”
